Seasonal calendar
Seasonal calendar
Our citrus window runs November to January — the middle of the Russian and Kazakh winter. Alongside it, greenhouse vegetables run all twelve months. That makes us a steady supplier rather than a seasonal seller.

With greenhouse vegetables, supply continues all twelve months of the year. Our citrus window — November to January — falls in the middle of the Russian and Kazakh winter, when there is no domestic citrus production.
Packing and sizing
Packing and sizing
Our standard packing is the single-use plastic crate; cartons are also produced on request. The crates are single-use, so there is no return, no deposit and no back-haul cost for you.
Sizing is done by calibre (weight per fruit in grams), and we set the calibre to the destination market and to the specification the buyer sends us.
Every crate and carton ships with the Zaghmarz Fruit label.
Refrigerated transport is arranged by us or by the buyer, depending on what we agree.

Post-harvest handling
Post-harvest handling
All three steps are carried out at our own sorting facility on our own lines — the fruit is never handed to a third party for preparation. Depending on the destination market and the buyer's request, the load is prepared in any of these forms:
Leafy pack
Fruit with leaf and stem attached, clipped rather than pulled. Markets such as Iraq ask for leafy fruit specifically, because a green leaf reads as proof of freshness and hand picking.
Food-grade wax
Edible wax coating for gloss, lower moisture loss and longer shelf life on long routes.
Degreening
Evening out the peel colour on early fruit that is ripe inside but still green outside, without affecting taste or ripeness.
The destination country's phytosanitary rules decide which form may be shipped; this is agreed with the buyer before loading.
